What data do we process?

Most of the personal data we process is provided to us directly for one of the following reasons:

  • we serve as a processor for a client who is the controller of your data and the data has been transferred to us within the scope of the cooperation binding us with the client

  • we obtained it directly from you or from a third party authorized to share your data with us

  • you have submitted a complaint or inquiry to us

  • you have submitted an information request to us

  • you represent your organization

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have specific rights depending on the basis for processing your data.

Right of access

You have the right to find out whether we use or store your personal data - the so-called right of access. By exercising this right, you can also ask us for a copy of your data.

Right of rectification

You can question the accuracy of the data we process and ask us to correct or delete it. This is known as the "right of rectification." If your data is incomplete, you can also ask us to complete it, for example by adding new information.

Right to delete data

You can ask us to delete your data, and in some circumstances we must do so. This right is also known as the so-called right to be forgotten. This right is not absolute and applies in the following circumstances, among others, when:

  • we no longer need your data

  • you initially gave your consent for processing, but have now withdrawn it

  • you objected to the use of your data

  • we have processed your data unlawfully

We may deny your right to "be forgotten" in the following circumstances:

  • when we are legally obliged to store your data

  • the storage of your data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to restrict how we use your data, especially in case you are concerned about the veracity of the data or the way it is used. If necessary, you can also request the deletion of certain information about you. This right is closely related to your right to challenge the accuracy of your data and to object to its use.

Right to object to processing

Under certain circumstances, you have the right to object to the processing (use) of your data. If your objection is justified, it must stop using your data for the purpose for which they were originally processed, unless we are able to provide reasons justifying further use of your data despite the reservations.

You have the absolute right to object to the use of your data for direct marketing purposes. In this case, if you object, we will absolutely stop using your data for this purpose.

Right to data transfer

You have the right to obtain your personal data in an accessible and readable way on a computer, e.g. as a csv file. You also have the right to ask us to transfer your data to another entity - we will do it if the transfer is, as the GDPR says, "technically feasible". This right applies only to information that you have provided to us, and the processing of such information takes place in electronic form.

Right to withdraw consent

If your data is processed on the basis of your consent, you can additionally exercise the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time - however, this withdrawal does not affect the compliance of the processing before it is made.

The right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority

We work to high standards when it comes to processing your personal data. If you have any questions or doubts, please contact us at iod@mediasystem.pl and we will answer.

If you remain dissatisfied with the content of the answer or the exercise of your right, you can submit a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection about the way we process your personal data.

Execution of your rights

You can ask for the exercise of your rights orally or in writing. If you give us your request verbally, we recommend that you also send it in writing or by email to ensure a clear record of correspondence. It will also provide us with clear evidence of your actions and will allow us to respond in accordance with your expectations as soon as possible.

We do not charge for the exercise of your rights and we try to provide information within a period not longer than a month - if it turns out that we need more time, we will inform you about it.

Sharing your data

In the field of processing, we can use the so-called. processors who, at our request, provide us with elements of services or provide them in their entirety while implementing the processing process. We have entered into agreements with our processors - this means that these entities cannot do anything with your personal data, except for the permission to process granted by us. They also cannot share your data with any third party except us and are obliged to maintain full confidentiality and security of data storage for the period of their cooperation.

In some circumstances, we may be legally required to share information about you. For example, by a court order or decision by a public authority. In each case, we make sure we have legal grounds to share information about you and document our decisions.

If we have the permission granted by you, we can also share your data with other data recipients. In such a situation, these recipients also become data controllers concerning you within the scope of the authorization to process granted by you and are obliged, in accordance with the GDPR, to inform you about the source of the data.
